Default New Scope?

Just bought a pump slug gun w/an illuminated Bushnell 1x28 Trophy scope on the cantilever. Anyone have any input or experience w/ these types of set ups? Thanks in advance. My hunting style is brush out to 150 yards i imagine that to be max. I tend to roam and jump hunt, but post up of course morn and afternoon. Will this type of scope work for me?

I expect it will work...the question is for how long. I've found that entry level scopes with illumination on fairly hard kicking weapons usually ends in failure. If it were mine, I'd get a better, non illuminated scope. Fixed power scopes or low variables (1-4 X) work well on those types of set-ups. Reticles need to be bold...my favorite is the #4. Good luck.
