Leupold Trade?

I have a Leupold Vari-X III 6.5x20x40 EFR on my .270 with a target dot. I want to trade for a 50mm My friend has a Vari-X II 3x9x50 he said he would trade the scope and give me $100 What do yall think?

No way I'd even think about doing that trade if it was me.

I love all the vari-x lines exect II. Friction adjustments suck. I wouldn't do it. He would be lucky to get 150 for that scope on bay. You could pull over 400 for yours. Think about it.

I would keep what I have and see if I could get a good trade for another scope with a better reticle, if you are using the scope for hunting. I like a bold reticle, like the German #4 or the closest I could get to it. That is not a good trade for you.
