Default Chesapeake Bay Stripers

Hit the bay butt early Sunday morning and had good luck. Boated 30 stripers from 16" to 35". A couple 4-5 lb blues in the mix and a few sea bass. Not a bad day at all. Won't be long before the big un's roll in. No pics this time but I will take the camera on the next trip here in a few weeks.

We were using chum and fishing with alewive and shad. We are headed back down for Friday and Saturday to fish both days. I think we are gonna sleep in the boat to see how comfy it is. My dad just bought a 23' WA Striper a few months back. I think we are gonna go around the middle grounds this time..not too sure.

I'll be casting my 8 wt rod and a blue and white deceiver or clouser off the surf back up where I grew up near Long Beach Island, NJ. Supposedly the striper action is hot and getting hotter. Maybe I'll hook into a late season bluefish or two, who knows?

You guys are catching 35" stripers at the Middle Grounds now? Every time I fished there in November we caught 18-22 inchers with a 23-25" thrown in every know and then.
