IS ANYONE CATCHING CRABS YET THIS YEAR, IF SO WERE AT ? I TOOK MY 2 BOYS LAST YEAR AGE 3 AND 6 AND THEY LOVED IT THE PROBLEM WAS WE CAUGHT ALL SMALL CRABS AT TAYLOR ISLAND BOAT RAMP AND ONLHY 20 KEEPERS AT WYE ISLAND WE ARE USING CHICKEN NECKS AND TRAPS , IF YOU KNOW WHAT WE ARE DOING WRONG OR WERE IS A BETTER SPOT FOR US TO GO NEXT WEEKEND LET ME KNOW

Go to Deal Island. It is about 30 or so minutes south of Salisbury on Route 13. After passing through Princess Anne, make a left on Route 363 (Deal Island Road). Go about 12 or 13 miles and look for a road on the left called Reily Roberts Road. Make a left and take it a couple of miles back until you hit a gravel parking lot. Get out of your car and walk up the path towards the bridge. Anywhere along this path is good, but the 2nd bridge is great. It's about a 15 minute walk. There's also a small boat launch for skiff and jon boat sized boats if you want. My mother in law has caught over 100 crabs there in one afternoon on several occasions. This is actually an inpoundment which is fed by the Chesapeake (Tangier Sound). No commercials are allowed. Good luck.

On the MD line, near deal, I caught 1 and half bushel in 2 and half hours over the weekend on 1000 foot trot.. Tried here in the magothy in pasadena and didn't catch a thing.
