Default Washington Fishing

I am going to Seattle in August to visit a friend and hopefully do some fishing. Looking at going after either salmon or halibut. Anybody have any sugestions on which is better that time of year or a guide? I have fished for salmon in Alaska and that was a blast, but never chased halibut and don't know much about them except they are deep.

Get on line and look for either outfitters or Charter boats, if you go out of Westport(3 hour drive from Seattle) you'll be able to hook up for the Kings and Silvers should be coming in hard then. Or try up around the Strait too, but a Westport Charter would probably be your best bet. Neah Bay too offers good charters for Salmon and Halibut, I'd defenitely try one of thos two spots. Most boats out of Westport usually get at least a fish per pole while they're out.
