Sheephead fishing is doing pretty good now. I caught a six pounder, already ate the filets.

Went ot Venice, Louisiana this past weekend and did some offshore fishing. Fishing for Yellow Fin Tuna was very slow but I did end up bagging a 65 lbs. Amberjack. Needless to say I was very tired after pulling that fish up from 200ft of water. In fact that was the only fish I caught all day. I didnt even pick up another rod all day.

Man, it's still way to early up here. Bass fishing is picking up in the river and will start to peak about 1 March. Our 1st saltwater trip will be about the middle of April for Striper's. We'll go offshore for Mako's about 20 May, but probebly won't catch one until Memorial day weekend. I sometimes get jealous when I read ya'lls post from down south. Good Luck. Capt Brad.
