Went offshore in search of the feisty and tasty bonito. First place we stopped nothing. Second place we stopped. Water 8 degrees warmer. Little crustaceans floating around. A couple casts and a bluefish. A couple more casts, another bluefish. A little while later of this and finally a bonito. Unfortunately I did not catch it. It was caught on a jigging spoon by my buddy. The wind was blowing us so hard that my 450 grain flyline was getting pulled right to the top by the movement of the boat. I had one hard strike but did not hook up. They are coming.
