Fresh caught striper is the best! Do you fish any jettys? If so, lures or bait? Favorite lures & bait?

I always wondered if anyone from the salt side came here? Do a little fresh in the spring but live for the off offshore season. ONe of the boys working on one.

Eightwgt...Do you still live off San Pablo? If so, I will make you the same offer I did a few years ago. Well, sorta the same. Instead of bowhunting, I can take you kingfishing...off the pier. Show you how it's done on the pier. Do you still build Mitziskiffs?

I saltwater fish, scallop, or spearfish nearly every weekend of the summer. My brother just bought a 26' Scout, so I am hoping I can go grouper fishing more often. I have been spearfishing alot lately, shooting mullet.

Yeah I saltwater fish. I fish off of the OBX pier in NC. We go quite a bit from May to September. We live bait fish for Cobia's and King Mackeral's and anything elsebig that may bite. Caught my first Mahi off the pier this year-was what we call a peanut. Weighed close to a pound. Caught lots of blues and spanish this year, along with trigger fish and some trout. Saw some nice cobias this year and only saw two kings this year. The cobias were weird this year, 95% of the ones caught on OBX were caught in two days. They weren't back-to-back either. 8 cobias each day. Unheard of. Anyway got to go, will talk some more tomorrow.
