Default rockport report and pic

was down for 4 days this past weekedend fished all over, fish are scattered everywhere, we pick up a few and the bite dies move locations and pick up a few more, thats how its been fpor us anyways, heres what we caught on friday, me and my brother in-law, 2 of these specs were nice.

I just got back fishin sat. Got 12 speck 1 gafftop, 1 snapper, 1sheep, and a 14 inch croaker. But our specdks werent as big as them 2 middle ones. wtg

I didn't know saltwater catfish were good eating!?!? I do love redfish and specks though

The gafftop are though you can eat the bigger hardheads they make better bait than anything. Ling love them as well as sharks.

Ya, theres two types of salt cats, Gafftop pictured here and hardheads, Gafftop are actually classified as a gamefish. There pretty good if you like catfish, but most people wont eat hardheads, me included, but even the TPWD says they are even good to eat but I will pass on hardheads.

Yeah i wont touch a hardhead. I havent heard of them being good becasue i know knowone that keeps them. Ionly catch hardheads when on tx city dyke and if i do i throw em in the rocks. No good trash fish is what they are. Gaffs are pretty good. My best is like 22 inches
