Hey Shawn (I'm Assuming) great pictures the swordfish to me is the most impressive, Do you fish for those at night? I am in Virginia and use to go out but it was to expensive the gulf stream is 70 miles off shore and it seemed we spent 2/3 of the day riding so I gave it up. How far is St. Augustine from good fish?? What are charter rates down in Fl. Anyway awsome fish.

Rebel yes we do fish for Swords at night. For us to run for Swords out of St Augustine it's about a 65 mile run to 1500 feet (the area we like to fish), but we run a 31' Contender with twin 300 hp Yamahas so the run does not take to long . I do not know of any Sword charters out of St Augustine or Jacksonville, due to the distance they can not make any money. Now down South around Miami you should be able to get one for cheap. I really like catching Swords too, there is nothing like fighting a big Sword with standup tackle, it's one of thoses things you will never forget.

I fish for yellowfins in NJ, DE and MD. We usually chunk with butterfish but occasionally troll. Out of NJ, most offshore charters run 70-100 miles. That's where the canyons are and that's where the marlin are. Until late August, that's where most of the yellowfin are, too. The charters must be more expensive up here because all the boats specialize in making this run.
