Im looking to get into fly fishing, and would like a versatile rod. Mainly I would like to use it for striped bass. What size rod and line weight is needed?
Any suggestions?
I dont want to spend $400 on a rod and reel.
I have been looking for the same thing and I found a complete outfit from Orvis. It is the Streamline 8 wt 9ft with reel and floating line, backing and one leader for 159$. At that price it is hard to go wrong, so I'm saving up to order it. The Orvis online is www.orvis.com.
