I tried those 700 gr. bullets in my S/W 500. 4in. it was a blast. They were a handfull, but loads of fun. Anyother S/W 500 shooters on here?

havent shot a 500 yet, but have shot my buddies BFR in 450 marlin, with some really stout loads pushing a 350 grain bullet close to 2000 fps.

Glad that you liked them . They are most assuredly a hand full . Those bullets have taken some fine animals this last year from some of my friends . Black bear , Hogs and white tailed deer etc. Later on this coming fall I will be heading up the Yukon river to the Koyukuk (spelling) to do some trophy bull moose hunting . I will be using the 700 grainers out of my 10.5 Smith PC Hunter . Looks like it will be a three week hunt , one week alone will be used up going up and coming back down the rivers . Here in a couple of weeks I will have some smaller bullets you might want to try out in that 4" Smith . They are 530gr gas checked Keith style of bullet . Have quite a few already spoken for . Thanks for your report Brush Hunter.
