Hi I just wanted to share a load I came up with for My 350 Remington Magnum. The gun is a Custom Shop Model 7 chambered in 350 rem mag. The load is;
200 gr spire point Remington core loct
58.5 grain of IMR 4320
CCI Magnum primer
remington brass
This load produced a four shot group of less than one inch at 100 yards and surpassed Remington factory ammo by a great margin. This is out of a gun with a 20 inch barreled Model 7. Hope this helps someone out, as it is the most accurate load ive found for this caliber.
That should make a good deer blk. bear load, but i'd want a heavier bullet on moose or big bears..
I hunted with a 350 Rem. Mag for a time, and it worked pretty good. The biggest reason i moved on to a .338-06 is at the at that time there were much better bullets in .338 than .358.....
Anyway, now days there are much better 35 cal. bullets to choose from so you should be able to tailor a load for what ever you want to hunt!
My uncle had a original remington 600 in .350 rem mag. That thing made alot more recoil than accuracy but it was really fun to shoot. Its probably one of the only TRUE short mags.
