Default Loads for Remington 45ACP 185 hollowpoint

Just bought some 45 Auto bullets, their Remington 185 hollowpoint and not the golden saber's, anybody ever load them I plan on using Hodgdon Clays in auto's. Also I'm looking for some additional loads for the 45 ACP using Clays so any info would be some help.

Can't help w/ the Hodgdon Clays but I load the Rem. 185 gr. JHP and Golden Saber w/ 6.5 gr. W-231. Gives about 920 f.p.s. from a Combat Commander.

Using 4.9 grains of Clays will be close to 1000 fps like 981 fps. Using low charge powders like Clays means less fowling of the chamber and slide. I loaded 4.4 grains of Clays behind a 185 hollow base Berry bullet and it was like a pop gun no recoil but sent the bullet at 900 fps and was clean.

clays is deffinately a fairly clean powder i was using clays exclusivley for my 45 loads, i tried unique for awhile but that stuff is pretty dirty in a 45, but was amazingly clean in my 357 magnum loads. lately ive been using HP38 in my 45's and the characteristics seem to be similar to clays asfar as performance but is much cleaner burning then clays.
