Default Most xtreme wildcat?

The post Wild Cat Humor got me thinking, What is the most xtreme wildcat out their. Meaning the biggest case necked down to the smallest bore. I know Slamfire mentioned a .378 WBY necked down to a .22 is that real? And if so is that the most xtreme?

I read about the Loudenboomer in P.O. Ackleys books, he designed it back in the sixtys. It looks like the most extreme in those books, and that was back when theywere really experimenting. Supposedly for the space program to see how different metals would hold together. It would be a good one to shoot at dusk, the muzzle flash may be a little extreme......

For reloading info on it: http://www.reloadersnest.com/frontpa...?CaliberID=173

You may have to special order your dies though.

In upstate Pa. there are a few hunters that are long distance shooters. I sat down with a father and son a few years back and asked a bunch of questions about their gear. The two that impressed me the most were a 50-30 and a 460-6.5. The 50-30 was a bench mounted canon with a 4" diameter barrel. He was their long distance man responsible for yardages from 800 plus. The 460-6.5 covered from 800 yards and in. They sit on top of a mountain and scout the opposite ridges and valley. Bunch of bucks tied up in that outfit.
