RE: case cleaner: liquid vs tumbler
I'm not "most reloaders" then, because I have not, nor do I intend to, use liquid case cleaning solutions. Seen to be way too much of a PITA, and won't polish the cases so they still need to be tumbled when done. I suppose if I handloaded for a lot of semi-autos that flung their brass all over hell and back, or if I were the type to pick up spent brass at the range, which I'm not (if I didn't fire it, I won't reload it), and I were trying to clean up some really grungy brass, I might consider it for use on a very limited basis.
I use my vibratory tumbler with a 50/50 mix of fine ground walnut/corncob bedding (the type that can be bought in a pet store), treated with Iosso Polish. The walnut takes care of any scrubbing, and the corncob polishes the brass to a better than new sheen. Works like a charm, and is as hassle free as possible.
