Default New 8mm loads worked good!!

Put the smackdown on a big doe tonight with my 200 grain partition handloads. Shot her broadside at 50 yards and broke 2 ribs going in, jellied the lungs and really busted up 2 ribs going out. She staggered and stood there for a second and ran thirty yards before piling up. Overall performance of of the load was great in my opinion. By the way the load was 52 grains IMR 4350, win brass, cci large rifle primer, averages little under 2700 fps.

Hey guy....I hope that doe tastes as good as the fun you had hunting it.

The 8MM mauser is a very fine deer rifle and you did good!!!

That load will even work on big bears - the 8mm 200 grain Nosler Partition bullet moving over 2600 FPS is pretty potent!!

Like i've said here before, i have nothing but good things to say about 8mm 200 grain NP's. They have worked very well for me!

I've harvested quite a few animials with mine now, includeing the big bodied 8 point in the pict..

Thanks for the load data Carpmaster! I just bought (have yet to pick up) a Remington 700 Classic in 8mm Mauser, and I am looking for load data. Yours sounds pretty good!

Any other loads that work well out there?
