Before I checked into it I was going to look for a .243 win in the Rem. 700 Sendero SF. Now that I have checked on the Net...it doesn't seem that it is offered.
This rifle is for one of my kids. I have two that hunt now and they shoot the Rem. Model 788 in .243win. but the problem is I have only one....a problem when they are both going.
Does anyone make the .243 Win in a ss fluted bull barrel...synthetic prefferably due to the beating the wood would take from the kids.
I just picked up a Savage .243 with the new accu-trigger. It has a Blued barrela dn is laminate. It is a work rifle and as such already is dinged up. This is one that I plan to give to the kids down the road and won't be trading. For the money, I don't think you could beat it. JMHO, FWIW

I also think that a savage would be a good way to go, i have seen many savages in that caliber shoot very very awesome, as long as you arent too tied up into a certain style and everything.
