Default Hey Stubblejumper

HeySJ,
Looks like you are back from the wilds. Hope you had a good season. Here is an update on how I am getting along with my 7mm rem mag. So far I love it! In the last 2 seasons I have taken 2 caribou (150 btip) 1 moose (160 accubond) and 2 pronghorn (150btip) all 1 shot instant kills. The performance of the btips is a little confusing though. On the caribou the shots were relatively close and the animals at least twice if not 3 times the weight of the antelope yet the bullets performed like a partition, stayed together beautifully. This fall on the antelope at much longer ranges (413 and 326) they blew realy large holes in those little goats. I would have expected the opposite really. Anyway I'm glad you talked me into a 7mm rem mag, its quite versatile and I can see me sticking with it for a long time. I did not get a chance to deer hunt this year, no more vacation time. How did you make out?

Default RE: Hey Stubblejumper

I am glad that you like your 7mmremmag.Most of my friends use them for all of their hunting and are pleased with them as well.I took my elk and mule deer earlier then recently accompanied my friends while they took six more elk and six more deer while I searched for a trophy whitetail.I did not find a whitetail worth taking yet this year but I will be spending a week in Saskatchewan hunting them with my father later this month. With a little luck I will get a whitetail worthy of a shoulder mount before the season ends but even if I don't, we did have a lot of fun so far..
