.270 short magnum

My father-in-law just bought a new Sako, in .270 winchester short magnum, he is wanting a little reloading info on loading for this caliber, he already has his dies, brass, and bullets, but no info. Whats everyones favorite load for this gun, I think he plans on shooting 130 gr nosler ballistic tips, and his gun has a 24 inch barrel I think. Thanks any info is appreciated.

Here is a load using 130 gr. Sierra SPBT: Ramshot Magnum Rifle Powder Min. 72.5 grs. @ 3,190 f/s Max. 74.0 grs. @ 3,252 f/s.

Not much info yet on that caliber, But you should look at www.hodgdon.com and look under their load data section they have a few loads for it.
