Default Nosler .44 cal 240 gr JHP (pics) results boar

Here are some Nosler 240 gr JHP bullets that were loaded in a .444 marlin. They were recovered from a 260 Lb Russian boar.

The shot was from around 35 yards, perfect broadside shot, shot was a little high but close to shoulder. The bullets had an estimated MV of 2100-2200 FPS. They lodged in the off side hide of the boar, with chunks of the jacket penetrating the clean through.

They expanded to .675 and .795!! Retained weight was 125.6 and 111.00 gr. or 46% and 52% original weight.
