270 ammo

I have a Winchester 270 rifle. I don't reload, but figured you people would know the answer to this: What is a good factory bullet? I only shoot paper now, but I plan on using it for coyotes. What is the samlleweight bullet available in factory loads?

Winchester has always made a 100 grain soft point that was devastating on foxes.....coyotes should find the same fate I'd suspect.

I like the Win. 100 to 130 gr. bullets myself.

One quick question for ya.

Are you planning on trying to save the pelts on these critters?
If you are then I would look into useing either a shotgun ar a smallertype round like the 17 Horn. bullets or the 22-250's.

I kill alot of Fox and Yotes here in N.M with my 17 cal. Small hole going in and no exit. They drop within 50 yards.
