savage 93R-17 GLV

well i finally got to go out and do some shooting today after owning the gun almost a week


i was very impressed with the savage rifle that i paid just over $200.00

i dont know quite how to word it
but for the money this is a very high quality rifle.

the bolt is smooth
the hevy barrel is well blued
the stock has a decent finish
the rifle shoots sub moa groups out of the box
the trigger is a little heavy but is very tolerable

total cost of my new toy $568

$223 for rifle
$250 for leupold 3x9x40 vx II
$35 for rings( rifle comes with bases)
$25 for new cleaning rod and brushes for a .17 caliber
$35 for 200 rounds of ammo

after shooting it well worth every penny

savage gets 2 thumbs up from me

I'm jealous! I've had mine for 2 weeks and haven't fired a single round through it. I cheaped out and used the scope and rings from my Rem. 710 until I can get better for it. It does seem to be a nice rifle for less than $200. I might have to cough up the $$ to join the local range just I can shoot it!
