I reloaded some ammo about 3 years ago and havnet used it. I also have some powder that is 3 years old. would it be safe to use the stuff just for target shooting?
If stored in a cool dry location ammmunition or powder will last for many years.I myself have powder that is ten years old and have used powder over 20 years old with no problems.
As long as it is stored in a cool/dry space is should last indefinatly!
I've been shooting Military surplus ammo (late 40's & 50's) in my 1903-A3 30-06 Springfield, and in my 8mm K98 Mauser for years and still haven't come across a dud round. I have just finished up with a "ammo-can" full (750 rounds) of the 8mm stuff from the 1957 era. and just ordered another 1600 rounds of the stuff. Cheap Shooting & fun!

If you did a good job reloading it, it will last practically forever, if stored in a cool, dry environment!
I have fired .45 ACP G.I. ball ammo that was loaded during WWI (1918 headstamp) and it was as good as new!
