Default Storing primed Brass ?

I've been reloading fo only about eight months and enjoy shooting my own loads very much. I would like to know if it is ok to prepare prime and store brass until needed? If so how long? I'm thinking primed brass stored for any amount of time might some how absorb moisture and wouldn't fire when completely loaded.

I personally use the plastic ammo boxes and never had a problem either. I've also stored them in regular ammo boxes from the manufacture and never had a problem.

JUst a thought. Where do you keep your boxes or strips of primers? Do you keep them in an air tight container or just in a drawer? I've kept primers in a plastic parts cabinet without any problem. Some pistol primers have been there for 4-5 years, No problem, still hot.

from what I understand, primers are coated with some type of material (like lacquer) which protects them from moisture. About the only thing that will contaminate them is oil. I'm not saying that they will survive a good soaking but normal room air I don't think will bother them. I have stored primed brass in boxes, coffee cans and similar containers for months before I loaded them and never had any problems. I use CCI primers exclusively.
