Default Remington Core-lokt Ultra Bullets

Can anybody please help me find a source for the new bullet Remington has, it's the Core-lokt Ultra.

I emailed Remington and they sent me a list of wholesalers but they only sale to dealers. I have checked ProBass, Cabelas', Midsouth, Midway, and several other reloading sites but can't find it.

I've read good reports on the bullet and just want to try it, any help is appreciated.

I thought that bullet was only available in loaded ammo and not yet available to the handloader.....

Both Hornady and Nosler have bonded bullets that might serve your interest.

They are not yet on the market for handloaders. What cal. are you loading for,and what do you want to hunt with them? I personally like the Horn. bullets. They work great in all of the cal. I own , and on anything that I want to hunt.

hunter338,

I've used nosler, horndady, and sierra, just want to try the core-loket ultra out, will test them on hogs this year. Read good reports on them and just curious. If they perform well might consider using them on my hunt out west this year.

I live in NM about ten minutes away from El Paso Texas. do most of my hunting in NM. I personally wouldnt blink an eye when considering the use of Core-Locts.like ive said they hit hard and retain about 70% of their weight. I use a 338 RUM, and it is hard to find ammo and even harder to find reloading data for it . So I have used the factory Core-Loct ammo. and really like it . It groups about an inch at a hundred yards . It will do until I can find some data on reloadin for my 338. Hope this helps. Leroy.

hunter338,

Thanks. From what I have found out, the Rem. Core-lokt Ultra bullet is already available to the public, just hasn't made it there yet. The email I got from Remington says wholesalers have them now.
