does anyone have any suggestions for working up a turkey load for my 22/77 hornet? (West Virgnia). Its usually always raining the first week of the season, and portions throughout, so watching the fields with a rifle is pretty productive. Right now I am working on a Sierra 33 grain TNT and H110 for varmints but I am thinking it might be a little to explosive for turkeys? Any opinions?
The .22 centerfires work great on turkeys.....forget about meat damage.....just shoot the turkey.....I'm not sure why, but I've never had much meat damage from my .222.....it's a great way to get a turkey.
