Default 7mm REm mag loads

Ok fellas, hunting season is done for me and now it's time to start looking at new loads for my gun. I started reloading in Sept. and got half decent groups but now I want to start trying other loads. I currently us 67 gr. of H1000 with 162 gr SST's. Give me an idead of some of your loads as a go by please. I'm looking at trying Reloader 22 and an IMR powder. Thx in advance. JDinAB

I have been loading some 160gr Barnes XLC FB bullets and using IMR 4831 and getting good results . I'm still a couple grains under what they list for max but the accuracy is what I look for .

I'm hunting whitetails and mulies (there well over 200 lbs up here keep in mind). Maybe elk next season too....I heard IMR powdre is a little more intolerant of cold weather (in which I will be hunting), -20 and lower was what it was this season. Is there any truth to this?

In my Ruger No.1B 7mm Rem Mag., my current load is the 175-grain Nosler Partition at a MV of 3050 FPS using 70 grains of IMR 7828. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS LOAD FAR EXCEEDS ANYTHING NOW PUBLISHED AS A MAX. LOAD! IT IS NOT A MX. LOAD IN MY RIFLE, BUT MIGHT BE VERY DANGEROUS IN ANYONE ELSE'S RIFLE!!! MY 7 Mag. is more powerful than a 7X57, contrary to what is now published in most reloading manuals!!

i use 162gr spbt hornady in front of (64.5gr of r22 i think to lazy to look now) it will kill steel fence posts at 100 yards easy. good luck.
