Default Rifle Reloading

I was thinking about buying a reloader to reload my rifle and handgun shells. What is the difference between a shotgun reloader? and what is a good kind? Thx

rifle reloaders and shotshell reloaders are vastly different.....as far as I know they are not transferrable.....shotshell loader markets are primarily owned by MEC and rifle/pistol reloaders markets are primarily owned by RCBS...however Dillon, Lyman, Hornady, Redding and a few others are claimiung a piece of the action.

If you want to reload rifle/pistol brass cases, I recommend you look to RCBS.....but find someone that reloads to guide you....it' s not that hard.....but some guidance is heavily recommended.

That's good advice Vapo!

RCBS sells a starter kit that comes with a Rock Chuker press and has almost everything you need with the exception of calipers, powder trickler, and flash-hole debur tool. There's probably a few other things too but I can't remember off hand.

You would still need to purchase dies and shell holders for your various calibers.

Look at Cheaper than Dirt. They have a really good price on this package.

Adhere to Vapo's advice and have someone show you the ropes before you begin. Loading rifle rounds is delicate with the extreme pressures involved. It might save your life, or at least some fingers to have someone show you the do's and don'ts.
