Default 7mm Mauser Brass

I was helping Brother in Law with reloading his 7mm Mauser. For some reason the primers were going in WAY deep. Not even close to flush. The primers we used were CCI 200 Large Rifle. Also used winchester WLR. Now is this normal, or just a bad set of brass?

I have very seldom seen this happen. Its more likely to see primers not seat quite deep enough. If they are to deep then you may not get uniform results. Maybe someone else has had this expierence.

WKO brass? I have never seen this happen. I suspect the pockets are too deep, which I suppose COULD happen, but rarely does!

I have loaded tons of ammo, and many thousands of rounds of 7X57mm using WW, RP, and Norma brass, and have NEVER seen this! Are the primers seated so deeply that they don't fire because they aren't being hit hard enough by the firing pin? If so, the primer pockets are too deep, and the cases should be discarded. Get some new brass!
