Talking Winchester 32 special bee a while.

I am down to 10 rounds for this Winchester 94 chambering. I load IMR 4320 for 2280 FPS using a 170gr. Speer hot core spfn. They have worked well for me.

I bought this rifle way back in 1970 from my dad who was going to trade it in on a new rifle. I just could not see it going away when it had been in the family so long.It has a Lyman # 2 peep sight on it. Has seen a lot of woods time and collected its share of deer.

Always wanted a 32 special. My great grandfather had one he got in the 20s. My uncle got that one. My dad killed his first deer with a borrowed 32, tried to buy that rifle many times over the years but the gentleman won't sell it.

My great uncle and his friend used 32 spls for years and I always had a hankering for one myself. I was very fortunate about 2 years ago and found an older one in like new condition on the used rack at the local gun shop and had a price tag of only $250. I snatched it up and even asked the owner (I bought a lot of guns off him) if he possibly had mispriced it. He said nope - you want it for $250 its yours. I load them 170 gr bullets up with IMR3031 and it shoots very well.

My hunting partner had a Uncle with a lot of kids and grand kids.
Every one carried a Winchester 94 in 32 win special.
Had to be at least 20 of them leaning against the garage wall come dinner time.

I had a pretty nice Model 1894 in 32 Win. It was fun to play with but I also has a 30-30 just like it. Since ammo for the 30-30 is so much easier to find I traded the 32 off in a fit of extreme stupidity. I'd like to have it back and I've always wanted a 25-20 and a 38-55 as well. Someday after I convince the wife I've been good enough to warrant a couple new toys. LOL

Don't ya hate it when you have those "kick yourself" moments! Lawdy knows I've had more than my share of them!

Yep. I've let a bunch of guns slip through my fingers that I should have kept. Probably the worst decision I ever made on one was when I sold a William Evans double rifle in 450/400 Nitro Express. It was made in 1893 ans was completely covered in rose engraving. I had dies, brass and loaded ammo. I let it go for $5K and I could sell it today for at least $25K!

Oh well, can't change the past.
