Default Hornady V-Max (Groups/Pix)

I felt the need to burn some powder this afternoon so I gathered a few shootin irons together and headed to the range. I am not a big Hornady fan but decided to try their 95 grain V-Max bullet. I fired these 5 shot groups at 100 yards with a Rem 700 in 6.5 Gibbs. Everything in the load is the same other than there is a 1 grain increment in the powder between them. I was surprised that they shot so well, I might have to give Hornady a chance in the other calibers I have. Maybe a .264" 95gr Interbond could be in the future?

keep em in the black...AA

Great shooting!
I too am a 6.5 Gibbs fan. Mine is an 1-8" twist so all my good groups are with 140-155gr bullets. The 142gr Sierra BTHP Match really shoots! I have some awesome groups from Hornady 140 gr A MAX bullets. They are superb on deer.
You really have a good load and excellent rifle.
Enjoy.

Those are some really nice groups. I think it would be a smart move to start loading other calabiers like that. I just wish i could get my hunting rifles to shoot that well.
