Default Reloading puzzle solved

Well sometimes a guy overlooks an answer so simple that he looks over the top of it. For years I have used IMR 4350 and IMR 4831 and sometimes H414 for loading the 6.5x55. It never even dawned on me to make a complete change in powders. The others have always worked so well. Well this gun with light bullets does not like those powders even though they are highly recommended for those bullet weights. This gun wants ,and will now get RE 15. From the 26th Edition of the Hodgdon manual I got the max load data for RE 15. I loaded both the Nosler 120 grain Ballistic tip and the 129 gr Hornady interlock with one grain under Max and wow. 2764 for the 129 Hornaday and 2944 for the 120 Ballistic tip. Primers look fine although I think this is the max load and I may back off one more grain or at least half a grain. I have seen 1/2 grain make quite a difference whenyou are at or about at the max charge. These loads are real close to the listed velocities in the manual I am just a tad shy but they are using a 28 in barrel to my 24 inch tube. I feel a little silly for overlooking this cure. An old reloader can still learn something.
