AA 4064 versus IMR 4064 for 308?

AA 4064 versus IMR 4064 for 308?
I was given a pound of AA 4064 and AA 2520 from a friend who loads custom ammo and for gun shows. He states that he has found the AA 4064 loads better and more consistant than the IMR 4064 for 308 Win. That and he has played with the 2520 in the 08 as well and with decent results. Anyone else find this to true in their loading experiences?
I, by no means, will doubt what this man tells me for he loads for several LE agencies and gun shows all over IL, Mo and KY. Am just curious.
