Default Starline brass don't like my Redhawk!

.45 Colt Redhawk. Once loaded, they do not want to go in my new Ruger Redhawk. They fit in the chambers, but the cylinder does not want to close.
I can force it closed, but then the gun does not fire or the cylinder revolve?!
Anyone else have this problem?

Are you sure you didn't put an excessive roll crimp on the case? It would be hard to imagine that the rim of the case is too thick. Is the rim seated against the cylinder? Are your primers protruding beyond the rim?

Good call Bronko. I was thinking that he may also have the projectile seated too far out and and are getting caught in the cylinder forcing cone pushing them back out a pinch at closing. That or they seated too long and are protruding out the front of the cylinder and catching on the barrel face at closing.
Are you camming your press to FULL length resizing or stopping just a pinch short and have the case a bit oversized at the base causing the case to protrude a bit and catch at closing?

Solved it!! The primers WERE protruding beyond the rim. I was just not seating the primers all the way into the casing. What an idiot!!
Shoots fine now. +P's can let you know at the range however.
