Default Any Rem .244 loads with Nosler 90gr. Etip?

I inherited a Remington Model 722 in Rem .244. I have read the history regarding the 1:12 twist. Was wondering if any have tried loads with the newer bullets like the Nosler Etip or the Barnes TSX 80 gr.. Would like to use for wife and daughter to whitetail hunt.

My uncle had one in a Rem pump......244 and 1-12" twist.....I loaded 100 grain round nose bullets for it....It worked very well.....It tipped over Bambi like lightning hit them.

I use a 85 grain TSX BT in my 6mm Rem.....if you want to test them for stability just PM me your mailing address and I'll send three so you can test them in your gun.....and yes....NC

85 gr partitions, 87 gr hornady spire points, the 12 twist does well with pointed bullets under 90 gr, and roundnose bullets to around 100 gr.

It's just enough to see if they keyhole on you....but that don't mean you can't try for a three shot group!
