Default Shotgun slug reloading?

I was thinking about getting me a shotgun releoader, and was talking to my buddy about it. He told me that you couldn't get a reloader for shotgun slugs. I looked in some of my magazines, but it doesn't really say. I was wanting to reload from .410 up to 12 gauge. Is it true that you can't reload slugs? If you are able to could you guys point me in the direction of a good slug reloader? Thanks

Looks like you can get a lyman mold to make your slugs. Or I am looking into some you can buy. Handloader's Mag latest issue has a complete writeup on loading slugs. Very good results.

Thanks on the info where to get slugs. Now do I need a speacial reloader for slugs, or will any reloader work? I'm new to this and need any help, info, tips I can get. I will be reloading slugs for a 12 gauge with a rifled screw in choke, and for a smooth bore .410. Please tell me any and all info I should be searching for. Thanks

Well, your going to need a shotshell loader to resize. Your going to need either a roll crimper or a fold crimper.

If it was me, I wouldn't just jump into it. Kinda learn some about shot loading first.

BPI has handbooks you can buy to learn how. I would start there. You can go to Mec's website adn download instructions.

This is darn good advice.....BPI is the place to go!

Ive used their roll crimper in a drill press and hold the shell by hand and it works just fine....no need for a holder.

BPI has new cylinder cases from Fiocci primed and they make a fine slug load when roll crimped.....piece of cake!
