Default Winchester M70 Coyote in .270 WSM

I have been trying 140gr bullets out of it and no luck. Does any body have one of these? And what seems to be working out of it? Thanks Michael.

I have a browning x bolt not the winchester but my rifle loves 130 gr nosler ballistic tips over several different kinds of powder. I settled on 63.5 grains of imr 4350 and itll out shoot the shooter. 1/2 inch three shot groups at 100 opens to 3/4 in at 200. I believe Im at max in my gun so start lower and work up.

I tried again this morning with great success. I did some more research and came up with 140gr Nosler accu bond bullet and 61grs of 7828 IMR ssc powder. The out come was a 3 shot group in side of a dime at 100 yards. Next step is to go out to 200 yards and try it again. I will keep you posted. Michael.

if an accubond is shooting dime sized groups at 100, if it guets worse its shooter error. ask me how I know?
Back off to 400 and expect 2.5" groups if your doing your part.

Just got back from shooting today at 200 yards and was able to keep the groups inside an 1in. Will go out to 300 next time.

I settle on the 140gr Accu bond with 61grs of IMR 7828 SSC. It seems to be holding up pretty good.

Im gonna have to give that load a try. I have some 140 accubonds and alot of 7828. May just be my new elk load if I get the same results as youre getting.

Keep me posted on that. I'm wondering how it would preform in another make off rifle.

Hi needs recoil,
How did that load work out in you gun? If you liked that one I've come up with another that is working just as well. I took 150gr Berger VLD with 62.9grs of IMR 7828. Getting 3076fps with this load.
