I have a chrony and a note book
As I was reveiwing some hot and cold shooting notes you know same load July vs January,I noticed that we had shot a few 22LR every trip from a Ruger Mark 3 pistol w a 6" bbl and from a Winchester 290 w an 18" bbl. Where my 6" Sec 6 and Marlin 1894 18" showed 400fps difference +-20 the 22s showed less than 5 between the guns and averages that made the pistol faster. Just an obsevation that throws a wrench in the longer bbl is always faster theory.
