Default Has Any One Reloaded Hornady LEVERevolution ?

Has any one reloaded Hornady LEVERevolution in 357 magnum?
If you did what powder, primer, and bullet weight did you use?
And how were the results?

Did it shoot well, in both revolver, and lever action rifle?

I have a S&W Model 19-3 in 357 magnum,
and a Winchester 94 in 357 magnum.

And what kind of range can you expect,
from a Winchester 94 AE, in 357 magnum?
Like under or up to 100 yards, or over like out to 150 to 200 yards?
Its for whitetail deer, mostly, and maybe coyotes?

Thank You

No reloading data here, but probably 150 yds max on deer. Check the Hornady website, some cartridges have special instructions to reload the FTX bullets, I don't know if they apply to 357 or not.

I've got a box of 44 mag loaded up with the 265 grainers. Going to try them in a Ruger Redhawk. The Redhawk cylinder is pretty long so crimping into the canular the nose doesn't poke out of the cylinder. That is one thing to be aware of with revolvers, they are long bullets, they stick out of the cylinder on the superblackhawk a little bit, a little trim job with a razor blabe will allow them to cycle in the SBH. Waiting to go to the range to try them. I used load data for hornady 265 gr flat point bullet and backed off a full grain for the first loading with H-110.

H - is that Hodgdon, or Hercules?

I don't have a press, I always used my fathers press.
He died, and his wife gave every thing to my stepsister.
I do have Alliant Unique powder.

Could you please put the link for the loading data here, or PM me the link?

I think I will look around for a used press.

Thank You

Best to pick up some reloading books, I have quit a few that I have gathered over the years, but there is data on the web too, the H was for Hodgdon.

http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp

Hercules is now Alliant, http://www.alliantpowder.com/reloade...aspx?gtypeid=1

Hornady I see has some new ones for the 44mag http://www.hornady.com/store/44-Cal-.430-225-gr-FTX/ but I don't see load data, should be able to use data for other 225 grain jacketed bullets. And the 225 will be shorter than the 265 so it would be easier to fit into a revolver cylinder. Try to find a new addition of the Hornady bullet loading manual, tons of usefull information in those books.

I found some factory loads of the Hornady LEVERevolution in 357 Magnum 140 grain.
They look to be the same size.
Hornady LEVERevolution compared to Winchester 158 grain 357 magnum.
They are both factory loads.
I gues after Jan 1st I will look for a reloader set up.
I will go and try them in my Winchester 94AE when it stops raining, to see if they really shoot better.
I hope so, because they are what I will be hunting with.

Here are some pictures od my new Baby, I traded for.

I know he will do fine, shooting deer.

There was a chart for loads on the Hornady website a couple of months ago when I was wondering the same thing.
