Default 3 inch .410 shells

Hello, I don't know if this is the place to post this question, but here goes. what is the difference between the 2 1/2 inch .410 shells, and the 3 inch shells ? Does the the 3 inch have more powder, or is the powder charge the same as the 2 1/2" and the 3" just has more shot. thanks Steve

3 inch has about 11/16 oz shot=more than the 2 1/2 inch(1/2 oz).

They both average around 1150-1250fps...sometimes 3inch is faster...sometimes the 2 1/2 is faster depending on manufacturer.

I reload the 3inch with a single stage press. and use about 13g of H110, with 11/16 oz #6 lead shot.
