Default .300 WSM load. What's everyone like

considering reloading some .300 WSM for from Browning Abolt and just wondering what everyone is liking for this round? I currently shoot factory Winchester Ballistic Silver tip 150gr and am happy with their performance. the tradrectory data is better than hornady, federal and rem.

who's reloading .300 WSM in 150 gr and what is working for yah?

When I had a 300 WSM, I loaded 180 grain Barnes TSX bullets with great accuracy. Never used it on game, and sold it because it kicked too much in a Tikka T3 Lite.

Default How about 155's??

I load a 155 grain Siera Palma bullet in my 300 WSM. The bullet has a fantastic BC for a 155 grain bullet in the 30 caliber, and the trajectory is fantastic in the 300 WSM. Some hunters do not like target bullets in deer rifles. All I can say is the 155 grain Palma is devastating on deer. Not necessarily an elk bullet, but if deer is your game then the Palma is more than adequate. H-414 will make that Palma scream, and shoot very accurately. Tom.

Looks like the mods got the joker my post was directed at, so I'm deleting the contents of this post so no one thinks my comment was directed at the wrong individual.

I use the Barnes 165/8 TSX over 69g of IMR 4831 with WLRM primers.
I get 3200 fps at 48* out of my Model 70

So far it's 6 for 6. 1 buffalo, 1 moose, 4 elk.

I load barnes 180 gr TSX's over 69.7gr of reloader 19. It's .2 gr over max according to Barnes, but I worked up to it carefully and show no signs of over-pressure.I use a Weatherby, which are known for longer throats, so that may have something to do with it. VERY accurate load out of my particular rifle.

I've loaded for several of them with a wide variety of bullets and the one powder that for whatever reason always seems to show the best accuracy, barrel cleanliness and great standard deviation is H-4350... I've tried slower, quicker and all the rest with just about every bullet made and it stands alone on the top of my list.. the same goes for the 300 SAUM, it's almost identical twin and I've also noticed that the hardly ever mentioned SAUM is one super accurate cartridge.. I don't know what it is about the design, their so close but it for me seems always just a little better with almost all the bullet types I try.. TWO GREAT CARTRIDGES, good for anything you'd care to blast with either......I wonder how sales have been with the WSM lately.. don't hear much about it, maybe it'll go the way of the rest of the short mag revolution.
