Smile Overall cargage lenght for 243

Gentleman I will be using nosler partion 90 and 100 grain bullets in my Tikka 243. I do not have the special case to measure the headspace. In my speer reloading manual it says the maxium for the max cart case is 2.710. What I want to know and I don't know if I am explaining myself correctly is what overall cartage length gives you the most accuracy with these bullets? Sorry If this post does not make alot of sense, any help would be greatly appriciated.
Thx Doug Olwin

This is my attempt to get you going in the right direction.

1) The issue I believe you are dealing with is that it is said that generally, it is most accurate if you load your bullets to the space just off the lands. This is from the ogive not the oal.

2) The above is not always the case.

3) When you say headspace I believe you're talking freebore. Headspacing is from the back of the case to around the shoulder of the case. I don't know alot about this. I'm new to reloading, only been at it 2-3 years.

4) Only way to know what is accurate for your rifle is to experiment and shoot.

Hope this gets you going in the right direction.

Tom
