Default 270 win

I just purchased a model 70 in 270 win for my son. Got to have a trigger job done on it thats for shore. I was wondering if anyone had some pet loads for the 270. I was thinking about IMR 4350, I use that in my 30-06 and 25-06 with great results?

IMR 4350 for the 90-110 gr bullets, IMR 4831 for the 130's. I even used the hornady 110 gr hp's on our small deer for years.

IMO, a 130 grain bullet and the .270 win. go together like socks and shoes man. Put 59.4 gr of reloader 19 behind it and your set. This is a max load...please start at 10% less and work up. I've shot probably 100 deer with this and a Nosler Balistic Tip and they allwere D.R.T. (dead right there). Good luck to ya.

A good round for me is a 130gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip, 55.0 gr of H4831SC, WLR primers, and Winchester case.

I have used IMR4350 in my 270 with average to good results but settled on IMR 4831 in my gun its whats working for you and the keep one powder on hand for all is a good thing for sure

My pet 270 loads are: 130-grain bullet 55.5 grains of IMR 4350; 150 grain bullet 53.5 grains IMR 4350. Bullets: Nosler Partitions and Sierra Gamekings. All use the same powder charges shown.

Eldequello, what kind of velocities do you get with those loads? I dont have much h4831 left and nowhere around here sells it but imr4350 and imr4831 are easy to get and plentiful.

Wow, 59.4grs! I just loaded some with 57grs and that was .3gr under max from Berger...Where did you get your data from?
