Default Cleaning Brass???

I need some help, advice, tips, whatever. I am new to reloading and was cleaning my brass for the first time. I was using a liquid concentrate brass cleaner that I bought from Midway. When I was finished cleaning my cases I had some suds (bubbles) inside some of my cases and primer pockets. And also it took a really, really long time for my brass to dry. Are there any other ways or methods or completing this process (other than a tumbler, trying to save money). Thanks any help is appreciated.

I' m another po' folk who cleans with water and suds.

I use hot water and Simple Green (or a cheaper generic brand). I use a three gallon jug with enough water to cover the shells and about 1/4 cup of Simple Green. I don' t leave any suds when I' m through. Keep rinsing!

To dry, I just lay the shells out on a towel in front of a window or under a lamp. After they dry a little bit, I deprime them and lay them out again to completely dry.

Water + shells= chance for disaster.

Sorry, I can hardly stand to use lube on my cases when I have to. Check eBay or online and find a tumbler. Even a cheap rock tumbler would work for small lots of cases. Mucho better in the long run in my opinion.

You can make a tumbler out of an old electric fan motor, a bowl, some springs and a few other things laying around the house. Give me a yell, I have the plans around here somewhere. I am going to throw one togeter in a few days.

Thanks guys for all of your help. Cleaning my brass with the liquid solution isn' t going to work for me. I am going to try the plans that frizzellr posted, they look fairly simple and also seems like it would be fun. If that doesn' t work I can always fall back on soarkrebels idea and get a cheap tumbler. Thanks again.

My local gun shop has a used goods section- after a year of hoping I found a decent Thumbler tumbler for $25 (including a hundred pieces of 30-06 brass and a few other things). I hope that you have similar luck
