Since finding a decent variety of powders is nearly impossible in south Mississippi, I have decided to use some of what I have for load development for my son's .270 Win. I have a small amount of IMR 4064, IMR 4350 and a pound of H4350. Since I have more H4350 then the others, I would like to start with it. Has anyone had much success with H4350 behind a 130gr Sierra Pro Hunter. The manual says to start at 51gr and work up to 54.3. Any info would be much appreciated.
I haven't experimented much with H4350 but my 270 likes IMR4350 under a Sierra Game King or Nosler Ballistic Tip 130 gr bullet.

I found 55.5 grains of IMR 4350 to be ideal in my two 270's with 130 grain bullets. Since it is NOT exactly the same as H4350, I suspect those oloading manual insstructions are very sound. Start with 52 grains and work up in half-grain increments and stop when you find the best accuracy or things get too hot to continue!

If I could one have one powder for the rest of my life it would be H-4350 !!! For me, none better.. it works in all my rifles from 25/06 to .338 win mag and about 20 different points inbetween..Clean, always accurate, always gives me the velocity that I'm looking for, just a shade better than the IMR version.. just AWESOME..
