Hey Der, Anyone load for the M1 Garand? My normal powder of choice is IMR 4064 but with all the hoarding going on recently it has become quite scarce. My gun guy has lots of IMR3031 and BLC-2 on hand and I was wondering if anyone has actually used either of these in their M1's. I have seen these powders in several load charts for the M1 but I won't trust my old timey's to something I read from someone who says "it should be ok"--ya know. Looking for some real world experience. Thanks much.
IMR 3031 or 4895 are two powders that the gun is very familiar with. Both have been used by the military for their .30-06 cartridges. I use IMR 4895 and have a load that is similar to match for my 1903A3.
