Default 444 Marlin

I just got some of those 265 gr. leverevolution bullets from Midway. Anyone have a favourite load for this bullet?

42.5 grains of 4198, should do the trick. I use this load with a Hornady 265 in a Marlin. One on top of another at 100.

your at nearly Max pressure with this combo now, per reloading manual. Ive used this load in Colorado hunting the timber with good success. The bullet works well at this velocity. Have used it in 44 mag loads also, but due to the jacket thickness and the slower speeds out of a shorter casing and barrel it will fail to mushroom properly unless bone is encountered. Good luck.
