I shot about 25 165gr Core Lokt bullets with 44 gr. of Varget and CCI 200 LR primers today. The temperature was around 32F with a bit of show in the air. Now the rounds shot well, and grouped descent, but every time that I would extract a shell, some powder that wasnt completely burned would fall out of the brass. Could it be that that particular load could use a magnum primer in that cold of weather? I have never seen Varget do that before and I have shot the stuff in colder weather than this. What do you think?

You have several areas of opportunityto look at I believe? First off I don't care for CCI anything(JMO) they are blow hards (literally) those that reload alot know what I'm saying, second Varget is slower burning powder like IMR 4350(NOT neccessary a bad thing, BUT if you go beyond the ultimate burn rate load) you will have left over, building more pressure than you knew possible,in certain barrel
lengths, 3rd what was your OAL setting in what rifle? Some times the best BUDDY's load isn't what you need or WANT in your rifle? I could be off on these suggestions(for your situation), so please check and recheck everything I mentioned.
