for interest's sake here is my recipe for fireforming a 6.5 Gibbs from 270 brass.
1. CCI 200 primer
2. 11 gr unique powder. Tamp case lightly to flatten charge.
3. Slowly fill case to mouth with Cream of Wheat. Cover mouth with finger and lightly tap bottom of case on bench to settle the cereal. The cereal usually settles to the bottom of the neck.
4. Pull off 1 square of toilet paper. Roll it into a worm. Pull about 1" off the end and coil into case neck. Makes a pretty tight plug.
5. Load and shoot. Definately point in a safe direction, and don't do in town (loud). Watch your barrel temp as it will heat up almost as fast as shooting regular loads.

The data above came from various sources, my hunting load is substancualy higher than whats posted, but I'm pushing it pretty hard.

I've shot the gibbs for 2 years and never trimmed one yet.
Trim your parent cases to length and go with it
I shoot the 140 berger but I run mine hard, I'm shooting 3250 fpswith the bergers out of a 29.5" barrel. I shoot re-22 and fed 210 primers. with the sharp shoulder they probably won't require trimming throughout the life of the brass if you set your dies right.

not gonna say but its more than any books calls for, its a safe load (in my rifle)but hard on brass, I trash them every third loading, but it still shoots sub 1/2 MOA to 850 yards.

max would be 54 and 55 for the re22 and H-1000 respectively, this is the book max, depending on your rifle you could possibly bump it up a bit, watch your chrony, when you get an abnormal jump in velocity your approaching max loads, you may see no pressure signs till you lose the primer pocket depending on how your rifle is chambered.
